While the category of keratinophilic fungi is extensive, only two genera, known as dermatophytes, are responsible for diseases like “ringworm” in animals. Insecticidal Action: The insecticidal properties stem from cypermethrin (a type of pyrethroid) and are enhanced by piperonyl butoxide. During testing, the species used for indication was Lucilia cuprina, a common blowfly. Upon spraying the larvae, they promptly began to move away from the application area and were dead within 30 minutes. Tests on L. cuprina eggs resulted in a 100% mortality rate. The product proved equally effective against adult flies, achieving a 77% kill rate in just 15 minutes, escalating to 100% within 30 minutes. Cypermethrin serves as a broad-spectrum insecticide, effective against a variety of insects including biting flies, fleas, mosquitoes, and ticks.
