ParaGuard is the only fish and filter-friendly parasite control solution based on aldehyde (10% by weight) available for treating parasites on fish. Unlike the highly toxic and challenging formalin-based treatments, ParaGuard is free from formaldehyde and methanol and will not affect the pH levels. KEY FEATURES:
DIRECTIONS: Dosing Before use, please remove all invertebrates from the tank along with any chemical filtration. Administer 5mL (1 capful) of ParaGuard for every 40L (10 US gallons). Repeat this dosage daily as needed, ensuring that the fish do not exhibit any signs of stress. ParaGuard can also be utilized as a medicated dip. For dips lasting 1 hour, mix 3mL per 4 L (1 US gallon) in a separate container from your main tank. Dips can be prolonged if the fish show no signs of stress. Remember, many diseases can survive in the water as well as on the fish. Administering a dip treatment will be ineffective if the fish return to contaminated water. Quarantine This involves setting up a separate tank to observe and treat new fish prior to introducing them into the main tank. ParaGuard is gentle enough to be used preventively (even without visible symptoms) when necessary. Quarantine durations can vary, but we generally advise a 2-week treatment with ParaGuard to eliminate any potential external infections. Sensitive Fish Certain fish species, such as eels, loaches, rays, sharks, and others, are known to be more sensitive to medications. If you think your fish might be sensitive, it's perfectly fine to start with a reduced dose and gradually increase to the full dosage over a few days.
