Purigen is an exceptional synthetic adsorbent that stands apart from typical filtration products. Unlike a combination of ion exchangers or adsorbents, it is a distinctive macro-porous synthetic polymer that effectively eliminates both soluble and insoluble impurities from water at a performance and capacity level that surpasses all other alternatives by more than 500%. Purigen manages ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates by extracting nitrogenous organic waste that would otherwise release these detrimental substances.

DIRECTIONS:
Rinse prior to use. Employ in a fine mesh (180 micron or finer) filter bag such as Seachem's The Bag. For optimal results, position Purigen to maximize water flow through it. It can be utilized in a canister filter, media chamber, box filter, or any high flow section of a trickle filter. Each 250mL dose can treat up to 1,000L (250 US gallons) for a duration of up to six months. Depletion is signaled by a notable change in color of the beads to dark brown or black.
