Operation: Thoroughly clean the skimmer prior to use. Avoid using any chemical cleaners. Secure the skimmer onto the aquarium wall and adjust the screw to ensure it remains stable and balanced. Take off the impurity case cover, then fill the pump casing with water until it reaches 50mm above the water pump. Set the air-inlet controller to "CLOSE" and then plug in the power supply. Activate the water pump to fill the tube with water. Switch the air-inlet controller to "OPEN" to let air in, and the protein skimmer will start operating. Allow the skimmer to function for at least 24 hours during the initial break-in phase, during which a wet foam froth should form and need to be cleaned off. After the break-in period, the wet foam will reduce, producing a sludge-like foam that should be cleaned off periodically.
