Stability and Assurance
It provides a buffer and maintains the pH level. It also combats biogenic scaling and fosters ideal conditions for specific species (such as African Cichlids).
Carbonate hardness (KH) is among the less critical parameters of aquarium water. The majority of fish in freshwater tanks tend to thrive in relatively hard water. Moreover, KH serves as a stabilizing buffer that prevents harmful swings in pH levels (including sudden increases in acidity).
For community aquariums, it is advisable to keep a minimum KH of 6°dkH (even higher for specific species like African Cichlids). This helps ensure the health of the fish, while also making the aquarium water resilient and easy to manage.
Sera KH/pH-plus will accurately and consistently raise KH to the desired level. The pH will gradually increase and, most importantly, will be safely stabilized.
