The API MELAFIX fish remedy is safe for your biological filter, will not change the pH levels, and will not discolor the water. Use 5 ml. for every 10 gallons of aquarium water. For treating diseases or wounds, administer daily for a week. After 7 days, perform a 25% water change. Continue treatment if needed. When introducing new fish, administer daily for 3 days.
