API® pH UP pH adjuster elevates the pH levels in your aquarium, creating a more alkaline environment when the levels drop too low. The pH scale measures the acidity or alkalinity of water, with a neutral pH at 7.0; values above 7.0 indicate alkalinity, while those below signify acidity.
Since various fish species require specific pH levels for optimal health, it’s essential to regularly test your water to maintain appropriate pH readings. The pH UP pH adjuster acts quickly, is colorless, user-friendly, and will not cause cloudiness in your aquarium water. Additionally, being free from phosphates and nitrates, this adjuster will not promote algae growth.
Assess the pH of your aquarium water using an API pH TEST KIT. To increase the pH, simply add 1 ml for every 10 gallons of water in your aquarium.
