De-nitrate is an affordable, natural, and porous material designed with a specific pore distribution and geometry that facilitates aerobic nitrification at shallow depths and anaerobic denitrification in the center. This material boasts a large surface area, allowing for a dense population of beneficial bacteria. While de-nitrate can capture nitrates, similar to other nitrate-absorbing substances like certain zeolites and synthetic resins, its capacity is somewhat limited, with anaerobic processes being the primary means of nitrate elimination.
KEY FEATURES:
DIRECTIONS: To achieve optimal performance, de-nitrate should be positioned to ensure water flows through it effectively, such as in a canister filter, chemical filtration module, or box filter. The flow rate should not exceed 200L (50 US gallons) per hour.
