Purigen is an exceptional synthetic adsorbent that stands out from conventional filtration products. Rather than being a blend of ion exchangers or adsorbents, it is a distinctive macro-porous synthetic polymer designed to eliminate both soluble and insoluble impurities from water at a rate and capacity that surpasses all other competing options by more than 500%. Purigen effectively manages ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates by extracting nitrogenous organic waste that would otherwise release these harmful substances.

DIRECTIONS:
Rinse thoroughly before use. It should be placed in a fine mesh (180 micron or less) filter bag like Seachem's The Bag. For optimal performance, position Purigen to maximize water flow through it. It can be utilized in a canister filter, media chamber, box filter, or any high-flow section of a trickle filter. Each 250mL can treat up to 1,000L (250 US gallons) for as long as six months. A significant change in the color of the beads to dark brown or black indicates exhaustion.
