This product from AQUAEL is a special bottom substrate for shrimp aquariums. In terms of appearance, the soil resembles black gravel, with an average grain diameter of 1 to 4 mm. Natural, carefully selected components bring relevant water values to the optimal level for shrimps and support an intact ecosystem - an all-round feel-good package for the flora and fauna of your aquarium!
Correcting the water values - how does it work? The natural environment of shrimp shows a carbonate hardness of up to 3°d and a pH value in the range of 5.5 to 6.5. In this ideal habitat, they thrive healthily and show a willingness to reproduce. Advanced Soil Shrimp Powder contains natural humic acids that are released into the water*; they have a positive effect on the reproductive readiness of crustaceans. Plant growth is also stimulated.
An intact plant environment is important for shrimps; it harbours numerous useful filter bacteria. The Soil also intensifies biological filtration in the aquarium - ideal for the establishment of beneficial nitrifying bacteria. As it also absorbs toxic elements, it helps maintain a healthy ecosystem with an increase in water quality; the water also becomes visibly crystal clear.
*The soil releases the nutrients continuously, so it is effective for a long time and allows a sustainable application without constant changes or adjustments by means of additional nutrient applications.
More feeling of safety and well-being for shrimps - crustaceans like it dark and feel safe thanks to the black colouring of the Soil; their natural shyness disappears, and they become more active! Owners can then admire the rich colours of their shells more often and study their interesting behaviour. Plus: The dark colour of the soil contrasts with the rich colours of the animals and makes them stand out even more.
Note: Conditions described refer to the most common dwarf shrimp of the species Caridina cf. cantonensis, including demanding highly cultured species of the "Taiwan" class - for example Panda, King Kong, Red Wine - and many other freshwater shrimp of the genera Caridina and Neocaridina.

Aquael Advanced Soil Plant 3L

This product from AQUAEL is a professional bottom substrate for freshwater aquariums, especially for naturally designed, plant-rich layouts and tanks with shrimp stocking. In appearance, the Soil resembles black gravel with an average granule diameter of 2.5 mm. Natural, carefully selected components bring relevant water values to an optimal level for most freshwater ornamental fish and plants as well as crustaceans. Positive effects on the entire ecosystem are soon visible: clearer water, more vital plants and more active animals!
Correcting water values - how does it work? Advanced Soil Plant contains large amounts of natural nutrients that are released into the water* and thus have a favourable effect on relevant aquarium water parameters for aquatic organisms: pH and KH values (carbonate hardness) are reduced or stabilised. Plants show stimulated growth, the appearance appears more vital. Thanks to the Soil, fish can even be introduced on the day the aquarium is put into operation.
In addition, the Soil intensifies the biological filtration in the aquarium due to its porous structure - ideal for the establishment of useful nitrifying bacteria. The granulate also absorbs nitrogen compounds: thus it supports the maintenance of a healthy ecosystem. The water quality increases and the water is visibly crystal clear.
Looks good, all is well - the dark substrate also creates visual advantages: The dark colouring makes ornamental fish, colourful shrimps and rich green and reddish plants stand out better; colourful décor also sets more contrasting accents.
*The Soil releases the nutrients continuously, so it is effective for a long time and allows a sustainable application without constant change or additional nutrient additions.
