These high-performance hang-on protein skimmers are specifically designed to attach to the edge of your aquarium. Although protein skimmers have a straightforward design, they play a crucial role in maintaining the health of your aquarium. Each skimmer is equipped with a submersible needle pump that uses needle-wheel technology to produce ultra-fine bubbles. The surface tension created by these bubbles attracts organic waste, which is then moved through the skimmer column and collected into a cup for easy disposal. All our protein skimmers are supplied with a needle wheel venturi pump. This pump introduces air through the venturi air pipe, and as water flows through the needle wheel impeller, it breaks the incoming bubbles into a fine mist. This results in enhanced skimming performance. Please make sure that the outlet pipes of the skimmer are completely submerged for the unit to function properly. The water level should not fall below the maximum depth specified below. These skimmers are suitable for sump use as a hang-on option.
