The EHEIM CO²Set600 without bottle is designed to address the common issue of low carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in aquarium water, which often occurs after the tap water has been treated at the waterworks. CO2, alongside light, nitrogen, phosphate, and trace elements, is a vital nutrient for aquarium plants. Strong and healthy plants reduce the likelihood of algae growth. Additionally, plants contribute to oxygen production, which is essential for fish respiration, while CO2 helps to balance the pH levels in the water when applied correctly.
