These high-efficiency hang-on protein skimmers are specifically crafted to attach to the edge of your aquarium. Protein skimmers feature a straightforward design yet play a vital role in maintaining your aquatic environment. Each unit comes equipped with a submersible needle pump that employs needle-wheel technology to create exceptionally fine bubbles. The surface tension generated by these bubbles captures organic waste, which is then transported up the column and "skimmed" into a collection cup for easy disposal.

All our protein skimmers include a needle wheel venturi pump. This specialized pump draws in air through the venturi air pipe, and as the water flows through the needle wheel impeller, it breaks the incoming bubbles into a fine mist. This results in enhanced performance for your skimming needs.

Please ensure that the skimmer outlet pipes remain fully submerged for optimal operation. The water level must not fall below the maximum depth indicated below. These skimmers are also suitable for sump applications (as a hang-on).
