These high-efficiency hang-on protein skimmers are crafted to easily attach to the edge of your aquarium. Protein skimmers feature a straightforward design but play a crucial role in maintaining your aquarium's health. Each skimmer is equipped with a submersible needle pump that employs needle-wheel technology to create ultra-fine bubbles. The surface tension generated by these bubbles attracts organic debris and transports it through the column, where it is then "skimmed" into a collection cup for easy disposal. All our protein skimmers include a needle wheel venturi pump, which brings in air through the venturi air pipe. As water passes through the needle wheel impeller, it breaks the incoming bubbles into a fine mist, enhancing the skimmer's performance. Please ensure that the skimmer's outlet pipes are completely submerged for optimal operation. The water level must not fall below the maximum depth specified below. This skimmer is also suitable for use with sumps as a hang-on option.
