The EHEIM aquarium heater is an evolution of the classic heating rod. You can set the temperature precisely from 18 to 34 °C and recalibrate it if necessary (±2°). The temperature control accuracy is ± 0.5 °C, ensuring that heat remains consistent. A control lamp indicates when the heating function is active. The rod is completely watertight, can be fully submerged, and includes an automatic dry run shut-off (Thermo Safety Control), making it suitable for both freshwater and saltwater environments.

One of the most significant innovations is the glass jacket:
