EHEIM reeflexUV 500 UV-steriliser
EHEIM reeflexUV 500 UV-steriliser 772.00 AED
EHEIM reeflexUV reduces microorganisms in the water and eliminates torbidity more efficiently than ever before. EHEIM reeflexUV is yet another typical innovation from EHEIM: due to a built-in reflector the microorganism killing UV-C radiation is significantly increased and whereas in conventional UV-sterilisers the water is directed via detours past the UV-C burner, in the EHEIM reeflexUV water it takes the direct route. There is no loss of performance, you need less energy and. The level of effectiveness is 1.8 times greater. EHEIM reeflexUV should only be used in conjunction with the filter, in order to reduce small organisms (microorganisms, algae spores etc.) in the aquarium. There are 5 models available for aquariums from 80 up to 2000 litres. For aquariums of about.:300 LitersFor aquariums up to approx.:500 LiterHeight:380 mmWidth:115 mmDepth:130 mmPower bei 60 Hz min.:9 WattPressure max. at 50 Hz:0.8 barFrequency:50 HzManufacturer guarantee:3 Year(s)Freshwater:YesSea water:YesBenefits of the EHEIM reeflexUVQuickly and efficiently reduces both harmful bacteria and fish parasites in their infectious stages in the waterreeflexUV 350 = Maximum flow capacity: 200 l/hreeflexUV 500 = Maximum flow capacity: 400 l/hreeflexUV 800 = Maximum flow capacity: 600 l/hreeflexUV 1500 = Maximum flow capacity: 1000 l/hreeflexUV 2000 = Maximum flow capacity: 1500 l/hEliminates torbidity caused by algae or bacteria reeflexUV 350 = Maximum flow capacity: 400 l/hreeflexUV 500 = Maximum flow capacity: 800 l/hreeflexUV 800 = Maximum flow capacity: 1200 l/hreeflexUV 1500 = Maximum flow capacity: 2000 l/hreeflexUV 2000 = Maximum flow capacity: 3000 l/hInternally fitted high gloss aluminium reflects the UV-C light and ensures more efficient sterilisationExcellent results with low energy consumption (1.8 times more effective than conventional UV-sterilisers)No performance loss as, using a special design, the water is not redirectedAlso ideal for breeding tanks as it reduces the risk of infectionCleasing bacteria are safely retained in the filter as only floating organisms are captured.AUTO-OFF: automatic safety cut-off when changing lampEasy to attach using the included fixing brackedVariable installation, no defined installation position or flow directionAccessories: EHEIM UV-C-lamp, fixing unit, ballast with power cable, 2x hose connection taps ø 12/16 mm, 2x hose connection taps ø 16/22 mmSpecial technology for clean water and healthy fish In a UV-steriliser, the aquarium water is directed as a thin film past a UV-C lamp (burner). The UV-C radiation penetrates the water and kills off microorganisms, algae spores and other small organisms.Using conventional technology the water is only irradiated on one side. EHEIM on the other hand has built in a reflector, via which the reflected radiation penetrates the water from more sides. Thus reeflexUV achieves a significantly higher performance level.Furthermore, the EHEIM reeflexUV doesn’t have a complicated water flow system. The water is not redirected and flows around the burner without detours. So there is no loss of performance. The AUTO OFF ensures an optimum level of safety. Since UV-C radiation can cause damage to skin and eyes, reeflexUV switches off immediately when the device is opened. What you should also know:Compared to normal waters the bacterial count in an aquarium is relatively high due to the small amount of water. It is worth reducing this and bringing it back to a normal level. However, the aquarium water should never be completely bacteria free.Only floating bacteria in the water are captured by the UV-steriliser. Colonised cleaning bacteria in the filter (compare biological filtration) and bacteria in the gravel substrate are spared. Torbidity in the water, caused by bacteria or floating algae, is removed very efficiently by the UV-sterilisation. Basically-algae growth is curbed, because the spores are killed off.UV-sterilisers generally ensure healthier fish, because the risk of infection is reduced. A UV-steriliser is especially recommended for breeding tanks, because dangerous pathogens colonise on eggs or infect young livestock, which don’t yet possess enough power of resistance.UV-sterilisation in general doesn’t cause any kind of changes to the water values. The light source contained in this product is intended exclusively for the disinfection of aquarium water.

Sera GH-Test-15ml[Volume - 15ml]
Sera GH-Test-15ml[Volume - 15ml] 34.00 AED
sera gH-Test FRESH WATER , PONDWATER TESTINGCAREMakes it easy to monitor the total hardnessFor approx. 420°dGH. In case of too low GH values we recommend sera mineral salt. High total hardness levels can be lowered by mixing in R/O water. For creating soft water we recommend adding sera blackwater aquatan or filtering through sera super peat. Directions for use: Shake reagent bottle well before using! Do not allow tested water to contact aquarium or pond water!  1. Rinse the measurement vial several times with the water to be tested, then fill to the 5 ml mark. Dry the vial on the outside. 2. Add reagent drop by drop. Shake vial gently after every drop, until the color changes from red via brown to green. 3. The number of drops used from the reagent represents the existing total hardness (in °dGH). E.g., 5 drops = 5°dGH. 4. Cleaning: Clean the vial thoroughly with tap water before and after each test. Close reagent bottle immediately after use. Store at room temperature and away from light. Keep locked up and out of the reach of children. For testing ornamental fish aquariums and pond water only.  US Information for use Most ornamental fish originate from countries where the soil is poor in minerals. However, it is exactly the opposite in many other areas around the world. Rain water dissolves calcium and magnesium from the soil and consequently creates hard water. With the sera gH-Test, you can quickly determine the exact total hardness. Looking at the natural conditions helps selecting the optimal fish stock for a community aquarium, and is a precondition for successful breeding. High total hardness levels can be lowered by mixing in R/O water. A combination of sera aquatan and sera blackwater aquatan or filtering through sera super peat will create soft water, as required for most South American fish (e.g. from the Amazon basin).

Lighting for Aquariums Proper aquarium lighting serves two main purposes: Aesthetic Appeal: Enhances the visual appeal of the tank by bringing out the natural colors of fish and plants. Plant Growth: Ensures healthy plant growth by providing the necessary light for photosynthesis. Plants require 10-12 hours of light daily to thrive. Light Requirements for Different Plant Species Aquarium plants have varying light needs, categorized as follows: Group I (Shade-Bearing Species): Includes plants like pelia, mosses, and anubias. Requires 0.15-0.2 watts per liter of water. Group II (Moderately Photophilous Species): Includes plants like tiger lotus, ludwigie, and broad-leaved arrowhead. Key specifications Type of lighting Bulb Length 70 cm Bulb type LED Power 14 W Product More Details  Thanks to the LED technology used, the power consumption is much lower than in traditional light sources, and the power consumption is only 14 W. This is half the value of T5 (39 W) and T8 (30 W) fluorescent lamps. The big advantages of Leddy Tube 2.0 are long life, does not heat up the water in the  aquarium and easy installation  in the aquarium covers. Modern LEDs vs. traditional fluorescent lamps, incandescent bulbs and compact fluorescent lamps Properly selected LEDs are the basic source of light in modern aquarism. They effectively displaced the previously used fluorescent lamps, incandescent bulbs and compact fluorescent lamps from the market. Compared to them, they have a number of advantages. They allow for a significant reduction in electricity consumption, because by producing the same amount of light as fluorescent lamps, they consume up to half as much. And this translates into both lower electricity bills beneficial for the aquarist’s pocket and environmental protection. They do not often have to be replaced with new ones, because they can work up to 15,000 hours, which again is associated with a large saving of money, environmental protection and less labor intensity. At the same time, they do not unnecessarily heat  the water in the aquarium, they shine directionally only towards the water surface (so you do not need to use additional reflectors), besides, unlike traditional fluorescent lamps, they have a two-year manufacturer’s warranty. Why do we illuminate the aquarium? There are usually two reasons. First of all, the tank is nice, that is, it looks natural. The light is to make the fish and plants have beautiful, appropriate colors for a given species, and the whole will be an unquestionable decoration of the room. The second goal is equally important – the vast majority of aquarists want to have healthy, well-growing plants in the aquarium. And plants need light to grow for 10-12 hours a day, which is the “drive” of photosynthesis – a natural process as a result of which they transform inorganic compounds into organic substances necessary for their life. Thus, properly selected light is to guarantee at the same time that the aquarium will look nice and the plants will grow well in it. The LEDs installed in the LEDDY TUBE SUNNY module emit light with a color temperature of 7000 K. This provides good conditions for aquarium plants and guarantees faithful color reproduction of all inhabitants of the aquarium. How much light in the aquarium? How much light does the aquarium require? It depends on what species of plants we are going to grow in it. In terms of light requirements, they can be divided into three groups: Group I – shade-bearing species, e.g. “pelia”, mosses, winged microzorium, screw diver, some compact (e.g. aponogetonolist, Wendt’s compact, Backett’s warbler, Malayan warbler), anubias. Group II – moderately photophilous species, e.g. spherical twig, water tintland, rhododendrons, tiger lotus, ludwigie, broad-leaved vodka, three-flowered vodka, monkfish, broad-leaved arrowhead, Argentine marsh, giant diver, compact, limnophils, small-leaved bacopa, Thai krina, ponikło, Japanese gloss, swordfish. Group III – definitely photophilous species, e.g. cabombs, “glossostigma”, hemiantus. Usually, the conversion of lighting power per liter of aquarium is used. It is conventionally assumed that in the case of LED lamps for growing shade plants, min. 0.15-0.2 W for each liter of water. Moderately demanding plants need 0.25-0.4 W / l, and those definitely photophilous even 0.5-0.7 W / l. The “day” in the aquarium can fall on virtually any part of the day. If the tank stands far from the windows and is illuminated only by artificial light, the hours of switching on and off the lighting can be practically any. It is best to simply adapt them to our preferences and the hours when we are usually present in the apartment (e.g. “dawn” at 3 PM and “dusk” at 1 AM). We can then enjoy the beauty of our own “piece of the underwater world” at will.
