Prefilter

The Aquael ULTRAMAX filters are equipped with a spacious 1.5-liter pre-filter integrated into the unit's lid. This setup effectively captures larger debris, which greatly decreases the need for frequent filter maintenance. Cleaning the pre-filter is simple; just open the lid, take out the sponge from the basket, and rinse it under running water. This maintenance routine does not require removing the unit from its cabinet, making it both easy and efficient.

Double Ball Valve Mechanism

The ULTRAMAX filters come with a patented double ball valve mechanism that resolves a common problem faced by aquarists—the leakage of water when disconnecting the inlet and outlet hoses. This inventive system simultaneously seals the filter inlet and outlet along with the hoses, preventing any uncontrolled water escape and reducing mess during maintenance tasks.

Self-Priming Mechanism

Initiating the filter is effortless thanks to the self-priming mechanism. You simply need to perform 2 to 4 piston movements to fill the filter with aquarium water. This straightforward design allows you to get the filter operational quickly without any hassle.

Modifying the filter’s performance is straightforward and hassle-free. The filter features a clearly marked small lever on the right valve for easy and precise performance adjustments. This user-friendly design ensures that even beginners can easily modify the filter to suit their requirements.

Depending on the model, there are between 3 to 5 baskets, providing a total filter media capacity ranging from 6.3 to 10.10 liters.
