EHEIM KARBON is specially designed for effective water purification during the initial phase of your aquarium. It effectively absorbs chlorine from tap water and other chemicals that may enter the aquarium during the setup process.

EHEIM KARBON should be utilized for a limited duration (approximately 4 weeks) in the layering setup following the mechanical (e.g. EHEIM MECH or MECHpro) and biological filter media (e.g. EHEIM SUBSTRATpro) within the provided net bag.

Tip:

It is advisable to use adsorptive filter media for only a few weeks, as harmful substances may attach to them and can be released back into the water over time. Regular changes are essential.
