This additional prefilter effectively captures most coarse dirt particles before the water enters the external filter. Its sturdy base sits securely on the bottom of your aquarium. Water is drawn in from all sides across a broad surface area, through modular filter baskets that can be filled with your choice of filter media and are easy to clean and replace. Cleaning is a breeze; simply detach the filter baskets.

This ensures that the biological decomposition process in the external filter is considerably extended, leading to longer service intervals
