This filter is engineered based on the latest advancements in flow technology, while also boasting a visually appealing exterior.
The water undergoes a four-step purification process: initially, it is treated with UV-C radiation that reduces both pathogens and algae in the physical stage. Next, it passes through a detention chamber into the mechanical purification stage, which features a curved stainless steel split sieve with a mesh size of 200 µm. This mechanism captures not only larger particles but also the algae cells that have been treated and clogged by the UV-C radiation.
When an algae bloom is imminent (“green water”), two fine mesh filter sponges can be effortlessly integrated beneath the split sieve to eliminate even single-celled algae from the pond water. If the sponges are not cleaned promptly, the water will flow directly into the biological stage via a safety overflow. Here, the water is initially distributed using a Matala mat, enriched with oxygen, and trickles over the high-performance filter medium, sera siporax pond, that is populated by filter bacteria. The cleansed water is then returned to the pond through a detention step.
