The sera Koi Professional 24000 Pond Filter combines cutting-edge functionality with stylish design. It efficiently cleans ponds of up to 40,000 liters (10,568 US gal.) and Koi ponds up to 24,000 liters (6,340 US gal.), all while saving space.

Designed with the latest advancements in flow technology, it also boasts an eye-catching exterior.

The filtration process consists of four purification stages: initially, the water is treated with UV-C radiation to reduce pathogens and algae. It then flows into a detention chamber, leading to the mechanical filtration stage, which features a curved stainless steel split sieve with a 200 µm mesh size. This effectively captures not only larger debris but also the algae cells that have been treated and blocked by the UV-C light.

When there is a risk of algae bloom (“green water”), two fine mesh filter sponges can be easily added beneath the split sieve to capture even single-celled algae from the pond water. If the sponges aren’t cleaned promptly, the water will bypass them and flow directly into the biological stage through a safety overflow. Here, the water is first distributed over a Matala mat, enriched with oxygen, and trickles over the high-performance filter medium, sera siporax pond, colonized by beneficial filter bacteria. The cleansed water is then returned to the pond through a detention step.
