To raise the pH by approximately 0.1 pH units, use 5g (1 level teaspoon) for every 150L (40 US gallons); this will also increase alkalinity by around 0.5 meq/L. Dissolve in a minimum of 250mL (one cup) of freshwater, then introduce it to the tank. The natural sea water pH ranges from 8.25 to 8.30. In a well-established reef system, pH adjustments may be required every two weeks to once a week.
