Ideal for birds that are moulting, overweight, underweight, especially active, living in colder climates, recovering from illness, or suffering from liver or kidney issues. Provide High Potency Formula for a minimum of 6-9 months. Birds should consume the High Potency Formula 1-2 months before breeding and continue until the chicks are weaned or for at least six months before switching back to the Adult Lifetime Formula. Offer fresh food daily, and do not "top off." To minimize waste, serve as separate meals. Birds can eat as much as they desire, but use the following guidelines as a reference for approximate feeding amounts of High Potency Fine (HPF) along with additional foods: : 1½ - 3g (1 - 2 tsp) of HPF and ½ - 1 tsp of additional foods : 2 - 5g (1½ - 3 tsp) of HPF and ½ - 1 tsp of additional foods : 3 - 7g (2 - 4 tsp) of HPF and 1 - 1½ tsp of additional foods : 5 - 9g (3 - 5 tsp) of HPF and 1 - 2 tsp of additional foods : 5 - 15g (½ - 1½ tbs) of HPF and 1 - 2 tsp of additional foods : 20 - 100g (2 - 10 tbs) of HPF and 1 - 6 tsp of additional foods *For lories, soak the formula in 2 tbs of water and ½ tsp of corn syrup. Harrison's products should constitute 75-80% of your bird’s diet by volume. It is advisable that 15-20% of the overall diet consists of high-quality, ideally organic, vegetables and fruits. Dark yellow or meaty, as well as dark green leafy options like sweet potatoes, carrots, pumpkin, winter squash, broccoli, parsley, spinach, mango, or papaya are particularly beneficial. Hbd Recovery Formula 56g = 2oz
Hbd Recovery Formula 56g = 2oz 33.60 AED
A COMPREHENSIVE NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT FORMULA FOR AILING OR INJURED BIRDS This formula is designed for birds that require a readily absorbable source of nutrients. It’s ideal for medical and surgical patients recovering from systemic failures. It also supports birds transitioning to a new diet and those experiencing anorexia, which may slow down their gastrointestinal processing. Additionally, this formula serves as a hand-feeding diet for small insectivorous birds that struggle to digest cornstarch, such as bushtits, wrentits, vireos, wrens, and smaller flycatchers and warblers. FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS Warning: Proper feeding techniques are crucial to avoid harm to the bird or aspiration of the formula that could lead to pneumonia or even death. INSTRUCTIONS: Step 1: Gently check the crop to ensure it is nearly empty before administering food. Step 2: Prepare fresh mixture: Combine 1 part dry formula with 1-3 parts bottled “drinking water” heated to about 103°F (39°C). Do not microwave. Let it cool to a lukewarm temperature. Step 3: Tube feeding is generally the most effective method. While facing the bird, insert the tube into the oral cavity from the left side of the beak, guiding it towards the right side of the neck. Deliver the food into the crop. Step 4: Feed until the crop is full but not overly stuffed, and clean any excess formula from the bird’s beak, feathers, and living area. Repeat as needed to maintain or increase the bird’s weight. FOR OTHER ANIMALS The Recovery Formula can also be given to any animals needing a nutrient-rich, easily digestible source, whether after surgery or during general rehabilitation. Step 1: Prepare fresh mixture: Blend 1 part dry formula with 2-3 parts warmed (around 39°C/103°F) drinking water or to your preferred consistency. Do not microwave. Allow it to cool to lukewarm. Step 2: Administer the warmed formula via tube feeding or spoon feeding as per veterinary advice. Step 3: Feed as necessary to ensure the animal's body weight is maintained or increased. Recovery is a low-fiber diet and is simple to digest, so frequent feedings may be needed. COMPOSITION Soy Protein Isolate, Hi-oleic Sunflower Oil, Sugar, Calcium Carbonate, Potassium Chloride, Phosphatidylcholine, Di-calcium Phosphate, Methionine. Hbd Bird Bread (Omega) 323 GM
Hbd Bird Bread (Omega) 323 GM 56.08 AED
A PREMIUM CERTIFIED ORGANIC 'BAKE AT HOME' BIRD BREAD MIX WITH CHIA, QUINOA AND FLAX A nutritious choice for bird enthusiasts who prefer to make their own bird food or those who frequently treat their feathered friends. This bread mix features added chia, quinoa, and flax. It can be offered in place of human food to birds that enjoy mealtime with the family. Can aid in transitioning birds to a formulated diet. Can be concealed as a foraging reward. Serves as a method for giving liquid medications. Makes an easy transition for birds in hospitals or boarding facilities until they accept the proper formulated diet. Can be moistened and provided to birds feeding chicks as a soft food option. Can be utilized as a weaning food to move to a formulated diet. FEEDING DIRECTIONS This mix can comprise up to 30% of the daily diet. To bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Mix the entire bag with 2 whole organic eggs (shell removed; yolk can be excluded for lower fat), 15 ml of high-quality organic vegetable oil, and 1 cup (235 ml) of water. Pour into a greased bread pan or muffin tins and bake for 25-35 minutes. To create dough balls: Combine the whole bag with 1 tbsp melted organic red palm fruit oil or coconut oil and ½ cup of safe drinking water (no eggs). Mix well and roll into 3/4" to 1" dough balls. Quick freeze any unused dough after the first feeding and store frozen dough balls in the original Harrison's bag. Thaw for daily feeding. Avoid baking in non-stick (PTFE-coated) cookware, as the fumes can be harmful to birds. If made with additional fruits, vegetables, or nuts, Bird Bread should be considered a "treat" and limited to 10% of the total daily food intake when combined with other treats. It can be served warm. You can add some flavorings (like vanilla or maple) or herbs as long as they do not alter the nutritional value. Bird Bread can be stored for 1 week in the refrigerator and up to 6 weeks in the freezer after baking. Baked Bird Bread can be cut into portions, wrapped in plastic wrap, and placed back in the original Harrison's Bird Foods bag for freezer storage. Do not reheat Bird Bread in plastic containers. Hbd Juvenile Formula 1 LB 95.76 AED
USES For hand-feeding psittacine chicks until they are weaned. Ideal for chicks that have already been fed the Neonate Formula intended for specific parrots. Also suitable for birds recuperating from illness or injury, as well as those experiencing weight loss during dietary transitions. Storage: Harrison's Bird Foods are free from artificial preservatives. After opening, a bag of Harrison's should be consumed within 8 weeks. Storing the food in a refrigerator or freezer helps keep it fresh. FEEDING DIRECTIONS Caution: Proper feeding techniques are essential to avoid injury to the bird or the risk of aspiration of the formula, which could lead to pneumonia or fatality. SPECIES: From day 1 for pionus, African greys, Amazons, cockatoos, conures, and macaws. From day 7 for other parrots. From day 21 for cockatiels. DIRECTIONS: Step 1: Gently check the crop to ensure it is nearly empty prior to feeding. Step 2: Combine fresh Juvenile Hand-Feeding Formula with bottled “drinking water” heated to about 103°F (39°C). Follow the recommended ratio of formula to water as advised by your avian veterinarian based on your bird's age. Do not use a microwave. Let it cool to a lukewarm temperature. Chicks with their eyes open should be fed 3-4 times daily, while those with emerging feathers should be fed 2-3 times daily. Step 3: Using an irrigation syringe is likely the most effective feeding method. While facing the bird, insert the syringe into the oral cavity from the left side of the beak, directing it towards the right side of the neck. Deliver the food into the bird’s mouth, and as it swallows, the natural feeding reflex closes the trachea, preventing the formula from entering the lungs. Step 4: Feed the bird until the crop is adequately filled, but not excessively so, and wipe away any excess formula from the bird’s beak, feathers, and the enclosure. GUIDE AMOUNTS: If you are new to hand-feeding young birds, consult with an avian veterinarian for advice on the correct proportions to use. The following is a guideline only: Day 1: 1 part Juvenile Formula to 6 parts water Days 2-6: Gradually adjust to 1 part Juvenile Formula to 3 parts water From Day 7: 1 part Juvenile Formula to 2 parts water COMPOSITION* Hulled Grey Millet, *Sunflower Kernels, *Hull-less Barley, *Corn, *Toasted Soybeans, *Peanut Kernels, *Peas, *Lentils, *Toasted Oat Groats, *Brown Rice, Tapioca Maltodextrin, *Psyllium, *Alfalfa, Calcium Carbonate, *Algae Meal, Bentonite, *Sea Kelp, *Sunflower Oil. * = CERTIFIED ORGANIC INGREDIENT Nutritional additives per Kg: Vitamins: Vit A 19842 IU, Vit B1 5356 IU, Vit B2 4760 IU, Vit D3 552 IU, Vit E 198 IU, Vit B12 80mcg. For birds that tend to lay eggs frequently or those at risk of hypocalcaemia (such as African Greys), combine 2/3 Maintenance with 1/3 High-Energy Breeder to enhance their calcium and vitamin D3 intake. Avoid adding extra vitamin or mineral supplements. You may offer fresh fruits and vegetables as a small part of their diet.
