Halo Multi Chip Scanner - with Carry Case in Green
The Halo features a read range of up to 15cm and covers a scanning area of 120cm². It comes with a rechargeable battery that can be charged via a USB port on your computer or a USB mains adapter, eliminating the need for disposable batteries. This device charges using a USB cable connected to a laptop or PC (not compatible with Mac or Linux). It's ergonomically designed to be small, lightweight, and sturdy, ensuring it does not disturb the animal during scanning. The scanner is capable of reading all FDX-B 15-digit and FDX-A 10-digit microchips as well as EM4102 chips and will indicate when a 9-digit encrypted chip is detected. The 15-digit microchip is predominantly used across Europe. Additionally, it can read thermal chips and display the temperature from BioTherm microchips. The scanning area encompasses the entire outer edge, allowing for comprehensive scanning in a single pass. Technical Specifications include compliance with ROHS, CE, and ISO 11784 standards. Dimensions are 135mm in diameter and 33mm in thickness, with a weight of 163g. Boxed dimensions are 147mm x 144mm x 38mm, and boxed weight is 258g. It can perform 8-second scans up to 1000 times per charge, with a standby time of approximately 2 months. The battery is an internal lithium polymer rechargeable unit, which takes about 3.5 hours to charge via the USB port. It reads FDX-B and FDX-A (FECAVA) microchips and operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 50°C. The display consists of an LCD with 2 lines, each accommodating 16 characters, and it emits an audible beep for notifications. Memory capacity allows for the last 2000 scanned numbers. Operation is user-friendly, requiring only a simple squeeze to initiate scanning, with automatic shut-off after 50 seconds. Communication is facilitated through a USB port, and the software is compatible with Windows 98 or later. The scanner is compliant with Scanner Angel® and is manufactured in Great Britain.
