The Swing Microchip cat flap features a unique antenna that identifies and decodes your pet's subcutaneous ISO11784 microchip, enabling the flap to unlock as your pet approaches. With its impressive selective recognition system, it ensures controlled access for your animal while keeping unwanted cats out.
Easy to program, this cat flap can hold up to 32 ISO11784 standard microchips. It has been meticulously designed and tested to guarantee maximum reliability and versatility. Recording the microchip code is a breeze: simply bring your pet close and press the designated red button to save the code.
Constructed from durable plastic, the Swing Microchip can be installed on various surfaces: wood, glass, or masonry walls. Please note that for glass installations, it's recommended to consult a glass expert beforehand, as drilling into tempered safety glass or double glazing is not feasible unless done at the time of manufacture. For metal door installations, a wooden spacer of at least 5 cm must be placed between the door and the metal surface to prevent interference with the door recognition system.
This updated model shares the Wind Stopper system with the Swing doors, providing protection against drafts, and features a special closure with a 4-way regulator. This allows you to choose whether your cat can come and go freely, can only enter or exit, or if the door should be completely locked. If needed, you can also disable the cat recognition feature and operate the door in a conventional manner.
Powered by batteries (using 6 AA batteries), it comes with a low battery indicator. Rest assured, if the batteries run out completely, the microchip information remains stored, so there's no need to re-register your pet. Additionally, this door includes a handy last step indicator: a small plastic flag that quickly shows you where your furry friend is, whether they are inside or outside.
If your cat doesn’t already have a microchip, you can use the convenient collar with a microchip that is included as a gift in the package. Lastly, to maintain the Swing Microchip, simply clean the plastic door and the infrared sensors inside the tunnel on the left and right sides of the door with a soft, dry cloth periodically.
