Just picture your pet attempting to stand, turn, or sit in a kennel that’s too cramped for them. The ideal way to determine the right kennel size for your dog is to measure them from the top of their head to the floor, and then from the tip of their nose to the base of their tail. The kennel's height should be 3-4 inches taller and longer than your pet to allow enough room for them to stand up fully, turn around without difficulty, and lie down comfortably! A kennel that is too small will lead to discomfort for your pet, while one that is too large might encourage them to relieve themselves inside their space.
