It's crucial that the fish gradually adjust to the water conditions of your aquarium. To minimize stress, switch off the aquarium lights. Do not turn them back on until all the new fish are in the tank and are swimming calmly. Submerge the fish transport bag in the aquarium. Open the bag while ensuring it stays upright in the water, perhaps by using a clamp. Introduce water from the aquarium into the bag, filling it to about one third of its capacity. After waiting for 10 minutes, add more aquarium water to the bag. Allow another 10 minutes to pass before adding water to the bag a third time. After an additional 10 minutes, you can gently net the fish from the bag and transfer them into the aquarium. Dispose of the remaining water in the bag.
