Carbonate hardness (KH) is among the less critical factors in aquarium water quality.
Generally, most fish in a freshwater aquarium thrive in moderately hard water. Additionally, KH serves as a buffer, safeguarding against harmful pH fluctuations (including sudden increases in acidity).
For community aquariums, it is advisable to maintain a minimum KH of 6°dkH (even higher for specialized cases like African Cichlids). This ensures the health of the fish and makes the aquarium water stable and easy to manage.
Sera KH/pH-plus will effectively and sustainably elevate the KH to the desired level. The pH will rise gradually and, importantly, be securely stabilized.
