Aquavitro Shrimp pHa is a key component of a two-part system designed to mimic the water chemistry found in the natural environments of freshwater shrimp. By buffering water to the ideal pH for each shrimp species, this product ensures the proper pH levels are maintained while simultaneously softening the water and promoting plant growth in shrimp aquariums. The shrimp pHa formula utilizes a distinctive buffer system that is highly stable and does not introduce sodium, which can harm aquarium plants.

DIRECTIONS: Utilize this product when setting up an aquarium and during water changes. Combine with shrimp pHb to effectively target a specific pH. All dosage recommendations are for 20L (5 US gallons). You may safely double the doses if necessary. If your shrimp are particularly sensitive or to minimize the risk of pH shock, consider spacing out the dosing over a 12 - 24 hour timeframe. To effectively reduce the pH in established aquariums: Add 2.5mL (½ tsp) of shrimp pHa for every 20L (5 US gallons) every 12 hours until your desired pH is reached. Do not exceed this dosage. Rapid fluctuations in pH can be extremely harmful to shrimp. Some aquariums may need multiple doses to counteract the buffering effects of certain substrates and decorations, especially those containing humate-based soils. *Product not to be sold online.
