Reptiles and amphibians are ectothermic creatures that, in their natural environments, often rely on sun-warmed surfaces to regulate their body temperature. The Exo Terra Heat Mat is a terrarium substrate heater that replicates these sun-heated surfaces. Exo Terra’s Heat Mats serve as an ideal primary or secondary heat source for both tropical and temperate reptile and amphibian species, and they are vital as a nighttime heat source for numerous desert species. This heat mat adheres permanently to the terrarium, creating a strong bond for optimal heat transfer. It can be utilized alongside an Exo Terra Thermostat and/or in combination with other heating sources for species that require higher temperatures.

You can use additional heat sources in conjunction with the Exo Terra Heat Mat.
