The Aquael ULTRAMAX filters come with a spacious 1.5-liter pre-filter integrated into the lid of the unit. Cleaning the pre-filter is a breeze; just lift the lid, take out the sponge from the basket, and rinse it under running water. This maintenance can be done without removing the unit from the cabinet, making the process both convenient and efficient.

Double Ball Valve System

The ULTRAMAX filters feature a unique patented double ball valve system that resolves a typical problem for aquarists—the spillage of water when uncoupling the inlet and outlet hoses. This clever system simultaneously shuts off both the filter inlet and outlet as well as the hoses, preventing any unwanted water escape and minimizing mess during upkeep.

Self-Priming System

Starting up the filter is effortless thanks to the self-priming system. You only need to perform 2 to 4 motions with the piston to fill the filter with aquarium water. This straightforward mechanism guarantees that you can quickly activate the filter without any hassle.
