CleanEar solution is a mild yet effective ear cleaner designed for both dogs and cats.

Active ingredients: CleanEar features malic acid 2.25%, benzoic acid 0.15%, salicylic acid 0.0375%, and docusate sodium 2% within a propylene glycol base. These organic acids gently lower the pH levels in the ear canal.

The reduction in pH caused by these acids leads to a slight swelling of the ear tissues. Since necrotic tissue expands more rapidly than healthy tissue, it easily separates from the healthy tissue. This process allows the dead tissue to shed while preserving the underlying healthy tissue, creating an optimal environment for healing. Additionally, the low pH helps to prevent the growth of bacteria, yeast, and fungi.

CleanEar is also formulated with docusate sodium and propylene glycol. These components enable the solution to:

• maintain contact with ear tissue for an extended period;
• act as a solvent for excess grease and wax;
• dry out the ear canal;
• provide a mild antibacterial and antifungal effect; and
• facilitate the removal of dead tissue, scales, and other debris.

Indications for use:

• Elimination of crusts, excess wax, discharge, and other debris from canine and feline ears.
• Removal of excessive purulent discharge in cases of otitis externa, enhancing the effectiveness of antibacterial treatments.
• Clearing ear debris after ear-mite infestations to improve the absorption of miticides.
• Can be applied to the ears of dogs that enjoy swimming.
• Prepares the ear for additional treatments.

Dosage: Administer 5-10 drops twice daily in the affected ear. Gently massage the ears to help break up debris. Use a cotton bud to clean away debris.

Storage: Keep at room temperature, around 25°C.
