This innovative filter features a fully adjustable pump head, a modular design, and additional benefits inspired by the aquaball concept.
What sets biopower apart is its multilayer filtration capability, akin to that of an external filter. The sealed filter baskets contain highly effective filter media (such as SUBSTRATpro). The inlet basket, equipped with a filter cartridge for mechanical-biological prefiltration, is positioned at the bottom. Water is drawn in from below, pumped through various filter layers, and then returned to the tank after thorough filtration.
Available in three models suitable for aquariums ranging from 80 to 240 liters.
Utilizing the aquaball concept with external filter technology
Aquarium filtration using external filter technology and multi-layer filtration means that water is pumped from the bottom to the top, flowing through multiple filter layers before being returned to the tank.
The closed filter baskets come preloaded with EHEIM SUBSTRATpro, although other filter media can also be utilized.
The inlet basket includes a filter cartridge for mechanical-biological prefiltration, while a filter pad in the pump head holder provides extra filtration.
You can customize the filter volume by adding or removing filter modules (filter baskets) as needed.
To expand the filter capacity, use ExtensionSET2.
The filter baskets are designed to easily clip together and detach using the Easy-Klick Locking System.
Thanks to the modular design, filter cartridges or media can be cleaned at different intervals, helping to maintain beneficial bacteria cultures.
The pump head, shaped like a ball, sits in a ball socket and can be rotated 360 degrees, allowing you to direct the flow of filtered water in any desired direction.
The flow rate and output can be adjusted using the control knob located on the outflow nozzle.
The power-diffuser can be modified to manage air intake, enhancing oxygen levels in the aquarium.

The biopower holder attaches easily to the glass using suction cups. For maintenance, module replacement, or adding filter media, the filter can be effortlessly removed from its holder.
