This innovative design features a fully rotatable pump head, modular construction, and other elements inspired by the aquaball concept.
What sets biopower apart is its multilayer filtration system, similar to that of an external filter. The enclosed filter baskets are packed with highly effective filter media (such as SUBSTRATpro). At the bottom, you'll find the inlet basket equipped with a filter cartridge for mechanical-biological prefiltration. Water is drawn in from the bottom, travels through various filter layers, and is then returned to the tank after thorough filtration.
Available in three models suited for aquariums ranging from 80 to 240 liters.
Utilizing the aquaball concept with external filter technology
This setup incorporates external filter technology and multilayer filtration, ensuring that water is pumped from the bottom to the top through the filter layers before being sent back into the tank.
The enclosed filter baskets come preloaded with EHEIM SUBSTRATpro, although alternative filter media can also be utilized.
The inlet basket features a filter cartridge designed for mechanical-biological prefiltration, while an additional filter pad within the pump head holder enhances filtration.
You can customize the filter volume by adding or removing filter modules (filter baskets) as needed.
For extended filter use, consider the ExtensionSET2.
The filter baskets easily snap together and release thanks to the Easy-Klick Locking System.
With its modular design, the filter cartridges or media can be cleaned at varying intervals, helping to maintain beneficial bacteria cultures.
The spherical pump head fits into a ball socket, allowing for 360-degree rotation. This feature enables you to direct the flow of filtered water in any desired direction.
The pump output and flow rate can be adjusted using the control knob located on the outflow nozzle.
The power-diffusor can be fine-tuned to manage air intake, thereby enhancing oxygen levels in the aquarium. (Other extension pieces can be used in place of the diffusor; please refer to accessories.)
The biopower holder attaches securely to the glass using suction cups. For maintenance, module replacements, or adding filter media, the filter can be easily detached from its holder.
