EHEIM pHcontrol+e – the intelligent device for tracking and adjusting the pH level in your aquarium
With the EHEIM pHcontrol+e, you can effortlessly monitor and enhance the pH in your aquarium using a smartphone, tablet, or PC/MAC through a WiFi connection and your web browser. A pH sensor continuously measures the current pH level of the water, and the pHcontrol+e automatically supplies the necessary CO2. By managing the magnetic valve linked to the CO2 system, it adds CO2 as needed until the targeted pH level is achieved.
To accomplish this, you need to connect your CO2 system, which includes a CO2 bottle via a pressure reducer and a magnetic valve (refer to the EHEIM CO2 sets) along with a CO2 diffuser. The pHcontrol+e features a day/night cycle and can be integrated with the lighting controller EHEIM LEDcontrol+e (part of the EHEIM DIGITAL family).
Besides light, plants in your aquarium require CO2 as a crucial nutrient, along with nitrogen, phosphate, trace elements, and more. The healthier your plants grow, the more oxygen they produce, which is essential for your fish’s respiration. Thus, the EHEIM pHcontrol+e indirectly ensures optimal oxygen levels and the correct pH for your fish by supplying CO2. This typically falls between pH 6 and pH 8, with pH 7 being recognized as a neutral reference point.
Note:
The foundation for measuring and stabilizing the pH value is the carbonate hardness ("KH") of the water. Therefore, the EHEIM pHcontrol+e (in Smart mode) first checks the KH value, as KH, CO2, and pH levels are interrelated.
