Product description
EHEIM phosphateout A chemically active phosphate remover that curbs algae growth EHEIM phosphateout is a unique iron compound designed for chemical filtration. This iron effectively binds phosphates, extracting them from the water circulation and progressively lowering the phosphate concentrations in your aquarium. This action helps to restrict algae proliferation within the tank. When phosphate levels rise, indicating that algae growth is escalating, it signals that the filter medium has reached its limit and requires replacement. EHEIM phosphateout is offered in granulate form for external filters and as a foam filter cartridge for internal filters. It is completely free of harmful substances, making it suitable for both freshwater and marine environments.
  • Phosphate remover that prevents algae growth
  • Iron compound, free from toxic substances
  • Compatible with both freshwater and marine setups
  • Use once (replace when phosphate levels begin to rise)
  • Available in granulate form for external filters, foam filter cartridge for internal filters
EHEIM phosphateout for internal filters aquaball and biopower Depending on the type, chemical filter media can manage the pH value and water hardness (such as peat) or reduce phosphate levels and inhibit algae growth (like phosphateout). The pH level of tap water typically ranges from 7.3 to 7.8, which is slightly alkaline. However, many ornamental fish thrive in slightly acidic conditions, with a pH below 7.0. EHEIM TORFpellets can lower the pH and reduce water hardness. Phosphates primarily arise from organic waste in aquarium water (such as leftover fish food, fish waste, etc.) and are a key contributor to algae growth. EHEIM phosphateout effectively binds phosphates, removing them from the water cycle. For the internal filters aquaball and biopower, special foam cartridges are available instead of granules. These cartridges are infused with the iron compound that binds phosphates. When phosphate levels in the water begin to rise, it indicates that the cartridge is exhausted and needs to be replaced.
