Species include bushtits, wrentits, vireos, wrens, smaller flycatchers, and warblers.FEEDING DIRECTIONS Caution: Proper feeding techniques must be employed to avoid injuries or the risk of inhalation leading to pneumonia or fatality.DIRECTIONS: Step 1: Gently feel the crop to ensure it is nearly empty prior to feeding. Step 2: Prepare fresh formula: mix 1 part dry formula with 1-3 parts bottled "drinking water," heated to about 103°F (39°C). Do not use a microwave. Let it cool to a lukewarm temperature. Step 3: Using a tube is typically the most effective feeding method. While facing the bird, position the tube to enter the oral cavity from the left side of the bird's beak and guide it towards the right side of the neck. Place the food into the crop. Step 4: Feed the bird until the crop is full but not overstuffed, and clean any excess formula from the bird's beak, feathers, and enclosure. Repeat as necessary to sustain or increase the bird's body weight.OTHER ANIMALS The Recovery Formula can be given to any animal needing an easily digestible nutrient source, whether post-surgery or during a general rehabilitation process. Step 1: Mix fresh formula: combine 1 part dry formula with 2-3 parts warmed (around 39°C/103°F) drinking water, or to your desired consistency. Do not microwave. Allow to cool to a lukewarm temperature. Step 2: Either tube feed or spoon feed the warmed formula based on veterinary advice. Step 3: Repeat feeding as needed to maintain or boost the animal's body weight.
