Carbonate hardness (KH) is one of the least important parameters of aquarium water.
Most fish kept in a freshwater aquarium prefer relatively harder water. In addition, KH acts as a buffer that prevents dangerous fluctuations in pH values (including a sharp increase in acidity).
For all community aquariums, the rule is to maintain a minimum KH of 6°dkH (significantly higher even for special cases such as African Cichlids). This ensures the well-being of the fish and the aquarium water is load-resistant and easy to maintain.
Sera KH/pH-plus will increase KH accurately and long-term to the required level. The pH value will increase gently and, above all, it is safely stabilized.
