Carbonate hardness (KH) is among the less critical factors in aquarium water quality.
The majority of freshwater fish thrive in water that is relatively harder. Moreover, KH serves as a buffer, safeguarding against harmful pH fluctuations (including sudden increases in acidity).
For all community aquariums, it's advisable to maintain a minimum KH of 6°dkH (which should be even higher for specific cases like African Cichlids). This ensures the fish's health and keeps the aquarium water robust and manageable.
Sera KH/pH-plus will accurately and sustainably raise KH to the desired level. The pH will increase gradually and, most importantly, it will be securely stabilized.
