Proper nutrition is essential for enhancing the stunning colors of Koi. A sufficient amount of spirulina microalgae in the diet helps in color saturation and intensification, as well as ensuring clear distinctions between color zones. White areas remain bright without an unpleasant yellow hue.

Spirulina boasts over 50% protein content, contains all essential amino acids, and is rich in various unsaturated fatty acids. Additionally, algae provide numerous vitamins and minerals. For instance, astaxanthin enhances coloration, particularly in red areas. Astaxanthin is a vitamin-like pigment that boosts the immune system, acts as an antioxidant, and supports reproductive health. Only the natural, highly bioavailable form of astaxanthin is incorporated into sera feed, primarily sourced from Haematococcus algae (60.5 mg of astaxanthin per kg of feed). However, other ingredients like krill and spirulina also contribute to the supply of astaxanthin and other vital pigments.

Koi Professional Color is made up of two parts: a feeding ring and a feeding core. This is achieved through a unique co-extrusion process that allows for the combination of differently processed components. The ring is packed with high-quality natural ingredients such as spirulina and Haematococcus, ensuring exceptional colors and appropriate nutrition.
