Details about the composition change at the end of 2021: Gammarus pulex has been the favored natural food for carnivorous aquatic turtles due to its excellent nutritional profile and high availability. However, the impacts of climate change have affected this source. The increase in temperature of the waters where gammarus thrive in 2021 adversely impacted their numbers. To ensure sustainable sourcing and support species preservation, sera decided to include shrimp in the formulation of sera Raffy I alongside gammarus. This adjustment replaces 50% of gammarus, enhancing the protein content in the nutritional balance. Meanwhile, the inclusion of gammarus guarantees a species-appropriate supply of calcium, magnesium, trace elements, and beta carotene.
