Facilitates easy monitoring of nitrite levels in both freshwater and marine environments
Nitrite (NO2) ranks among the most harmful substances for fish in aquariums. It can accumulate in the water if biological filtration is inadequate.
The sera NO2-Test provides a straightforward and dependable way to check nitrite levels in both fresh and saltwater.
For slightly elevated nitrite readings, we suggest using sera bio nitrivec (for freshwater), sera marin bio reefclear (for marine water), or sera pond bio nitrivec (for ponds). If nitrite levels are critically high, sera Nitrite-minus offers rapid assistance.
Enough for approximately 75 measurements.

Sera Magnesium-Test (Mg)-Reagent 3 Refi...
90.00 AED
Designed to assess the magnesium concentration in a marine aquarium reagent 3 spare cartridge Caution! Reagent 1 contains sodium hydroxide, which can cause serious burns. Keep this reagent securely stored and out of children's reach. Always wear protective gloves during use. If it comes into contact with your eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice. If you experience any nausea, please consult a doctor and bring this manual with you. A balanced magnesium concentration is essential for the health of marine invertebrates and algae. A prime example of this is red calcareous algae, which require significant amounts of magnesium to form their skeletons. Natural seawater typically has around 1300 mg/l. To create optimal conditions in your marine aquarium, this concentration should be maintained. You can quickly and easily determine the magnesium levels in your marine aquarium using the Sera magnesium test. For those looking to boost magnesium levels, Sera magnesium plus provides a convenient solution.
You can enhance the magnesium concentration with Sera Marin COMPONENT 6 magnesium. The amount of reagent used will depend on the calcium levels of the water being tested. Store in a cool and dark environment!
Usage Instructions:
To maintain a healthy environment for invertebrates and ornamental algae in a marine aquarium, it's crucial to have an optimal magnesium level. Calcareous red algae exemplify this, as they require substantial magnesium for their skeletal structure. Natural marine water contains approximately 1,300 mg/l, which should also be upheld in a well-managed marine aquarium. The Sera magnesium test enables you to efficiently monitor the magnesium concentration in your aquarium. If you have prior experience with the Sera calcium test, this will make the process even simpler. You can effectively raise the magnesium levels in your marine aquarium by adding Sera Marin COMPONENT 6 magnesium. Instructions for use: Shake the reagent bottles thoroughly before use! Avoid allowing the tested water to come into contact with aquarium or pond water!
1. Rinse the measurement vial several times with the water you intend to test, then empty it. Wipe the outside of the vial dry.
2. Rinse the syringe several times with the water to be tested, then draw 2 ml into the vial using the syringe.
3. Add 6 drops of reagent 1 and shake the vial until the liquid is uniformly mixed. Any cloudiness that forms will not impact the test results.
4. Introduce one level measurement spoon (included in the kit) of reagent 2 into the vial and gently swirl the vial (do not shake) until the powder is completely dissolved.
5. Add reagent 3 drop by drop while counting the drops, releasing pressure on the reagent bottle after every 5 drops to allow air to enter. Shake the vial after each drop until the color changes from pink to blue (not violet) and remains stable for at least 30 seconds while occasionally swirling the vial. Take note of the total number of drops used.
6. Empty the measurement vial, rinse it thoroughly with tap water, and then rinse it several times with the water to be tested before emptying it again. Dry the vial's exterior.
7. Fill the syringe with 2 ml of the water to be tested and transfer it into the vial.
8. Add 6 drops of reagent 4 and shake the vial until the liquid is evenly mixed. Any cloudiness that appears will not affect the test.
9. Add one level measurement spoon (included in the kit) of reagent 5 into the vial and gently swirl the vial (do not shake) until the powder is fully dissolved.
10. Introduce reagent 3 drop by drop while counting the drops, releasing pressure on the reagent bottle after every 5 drops to allow air to enter. Shake the vial after each drop until the color shifts from red to green and remains stable for at least 30 seconds while gently swirling the vial. Note – you will require significantly more drops for this measurement than in the first measurement!
11. To determine the magnesium level, subtract the number of drops used in the first measurement from the second measurement. Multiply the remaining number of drops by 60 to convert to mg/l. For example: if the first measurement used 4 drops and the second used 24 drops, subtracting gives you 20 drops. Multiplying 20 drops by 60 results in 1,200 mg/l of magnesium.
12. Cleaning: Rinse the vial and syringe thoroughly with tap water before and after each test. Immediately close reagent bottles after use and do not interchange caps. Store at room temperature and away from light. For use in ornamental fish aquariums and pond water only.
Store in a cool and dark environment!
